Audio Tours

The Canada Hall audio tour offers a fast-paced visit through the Museum’s most popular permanent exhibition, depicting 1,000 years of the country’s history. Adventure stories, engaging monologues, anecdotes and music brings the past to life.

The First Peoples audio tour presents the history and continuing contribution of Aboriginal peoples in Canada. Through authentic narration, quotes, songs and legends, the audio tour adds meaning and rhythm to your journey.

  • The group rate applies to groups of 20 people or more.
  • Free admission for children under the age of three.
  • When you buy a combination including activities at the Canadian Museum of Civilization and the Canadian War Museum, the tickets are valid for three consecutive days - STARTING ON THE DAY OF THE FIRST VISIT.
  • Each combination of experiences applies to a single group. They cannot be separated and are non-transferable.
  • As the Canadian Children’s Museum can be very busy, you are strongly advised to reserve a time slot. If attendance is high, groups without a reservation may not be permitted access.
  • Adult group leaders must remain with the students or children at all times.
  • Admission fees are subject to change. All taxes are included.
  • The IMAX Film U23D is a full price special presentation, no group rates apply.
  • Prices may vary for special-featured films.

Canada's Capital Museums Passport

- Individual Passport: $30 tax included*
- Family Passport: $75 tax included* (Valid for 5 people, maximum 2 adults)

The Passport is exchangeable for admission to each of the 10 participating museums. Valid for 7 days from your first museum visit, this Passport also entitles you to 20% off a Theatre, Dance or Orchestra performance at the National Arts Centre.

Where to buy one?
The Passport is sold at all 10 participating museums and the Capital Infocentre at 90 Wellington Street (facing Parliament Hill).

  • At all times for members and volunteers (except IMAX)
  • Every Thursday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. (general admission). Please note the Children's Museum may close earlier.
  • Museums' Day (May 18)
  • Canada Day (July 1)
  • Remembrance Day (November 11)
